Woods and Fog was inspired by a boat trip
on the inland passage from Alaska to Seattle a
few years ago. The mystical image remains in the
mind's eye, shifting fog and tree forms creating
endless glancing paterns. The painting is 36"
x 46", framed "up close" (without
mat) in a gray-washed ash frame, 37" x 47".
It was in Lee's solo show at Luther College, Decorah,
Iowa, in January - March, 2004 and in an invitational
solo show at the Uihlein-Peters Gallery, Milwaukee,
December 2004 - February 2005.
